Providence Ventures, the innovation arm of Renton, Wash.-based Providence, expanded its partnership with clinical decision support platform RxRevu through a new investment, the organizations announced June 28.
Providence deployed RxRevu’s real-time prescription benefit tool last year to help providers more quickly find medication alternatives tailored to patients’ health needs and insurance benefits. Since launching the platform, more than one million prescription transactions have taken place at Providence within RxRevu’s platform.
RxRevu’s tool lets users view patient out-of-pocket cost information, coverage restrictions and lower-cost alternatives before prescription orders are made. All of the data is available in the EHR.
Under the expanded partnership, Providence is making a new financial investment in RxRevu so the company can expand its decision support capabilities and product portfolio.
